Did you know?
-World wide, 925 million people are hungry.
-Every day, almost 16,000 children die from hunger-related causes.
That's one child every five seconds!
We are determined to change this...one child at a time. Through the "Feed the Kids" program, and our recent sustainable food project (piggery) we seek to replace hunger with hope. We rely entirely on donations to make this possible, and your gift of any amount helps us provide food for the hungry.
Global Hunger Index
The Global Hunger Index (GHI) is designed to comprehensively measure and track hunger globally and by country and region. Calculated each year by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the GHI highlights successes and failures in hunger reduction and provides insights into the drivers of hunger. By raising awareness and understanding of regional and country differences in hunger, the GHI aims to trigger actions to reduce hunger.
The GHI ranks countries on a 100-point scale. Zero is the best score (no hunger), and 100 is the worst, although neither of these extremes is reached in practice.

This system may be a viable, low-tech, economical way to effect long term change to a community. It is basically a way to raise fish and vegetables in a balanced system. The fish provide fertilizer for the plants, the plants clean the water for the fish, and both create jobs, food, and income from the harvest. (see video page for more)
We will be exploring this and posting updates for this project as it develops. I am hoping to bring this project to a community in the Philippines where we can develop long term impact with local materials, and community partnership. More to follow...
This Super food is another answer to hunger and malnutrition. We believe this food source to be a natural fit in combination with aquaponics, or even by itself. This tree offers nutrition and water purification properties, and we will include this in our sustainable food projects in the future. Take a look.
